"I was sure by now,
God, You would have reached down,
And wiped our tears away,
Stepped in and saved the day.
But once again,
I say amen,
And its still raining.
Well, as the thunder rolls,
I barely hear, You whisper through the rain,
'I'm with you,'
And as Your mercy falls,
I raise my hands and praise
The God who gives, and takes away,
And I praise you in this storm,
And I will lift my hands,
For You are who You are,
No matter where I am,
And every tear I cry,
You hold in Your hand,
You never left my side,
And though my heart is torn,
I will praise you in this storm."
This song by Casting Crowns has meant a lot to me in the last year. It reminds me that even, when it seems that circumstances are surrounding me that I can't bear, I can still praise God in this storm.
Yesterday, there were some discussion questions that I thought were really good, and thought provoking and I am going to spend the next few posts addressing those questions, mostly so I can get these things out and realize how far I've come.
